Masonry condition is separate
Roofing work does not automatically correct deteriorated masonry, mortar, or chimney-cap problems. Ask who is responsible for conditions outside the roofing scope.
Document the scope
Important chimney and flashing work should appear in the written proposal rather than existing only as a verbal promise.
